Independent Polling conducted in March 2026 reveals strong community and investor support for reforms to the Residential Tenancies Act, including introducing a rent stabilisation mechanism, minimum standards, ending no-grounds evictions, and increasing access to tenant advice. The polling also covered renters’ experience of homelessness, levels of rent stress, and alarming trends in communities where locals can no longer afford to live, and businesses can’t find or retain staff.
